Raymours Furniture Company, the predecessor of Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, was established by brothers Bernard and Arnold Goldberg in 1947 with a single, modest store in downtown Syracuse, NY. In 1953, the company filed for its first Certificate of Incorporation in New York. Today, with over 4,000 employees and over 90 full-line showrooms in the Northeast, explosive growth continues into the new millennium.

Our robust company website features a comprehensive product catalog of the company’s full line of current products, which includes about 4000 products at any given time. Our online Design Center features decorating tips, an interactive room planner and educational articles and information to help customers decorate their living spaces. With our Dream Home Wedding Registry, couples may use our website to create a wish list and choose dream pieces that guests can give cash towards.
Each year, over 16 million pounds of waste from our stores and service centers are diverted out of landfills to the recycling facility on Raymour & Flanigan’s main campus. The company earned an EPA Green Power Partnership with green power purchases for its New York stores that resulted in the avoidance of over 800 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year. All the oil from our company fleet vehicles is used in the new waste oil furnace to heat the 12,000 sqq. ft. transportation center.
